Recently, I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting and photographing Bob Sipchen of the Sierra Club. Definitely one of my favorite shoots of the summer. We worked in Muir Woods National Monument to capture this image for the Fall 2008 issue of USA Today’s Open Air Magazine.

I had the opportunity to meet and photograph Grant Petersen owner/designer of Rivendell Bikes. I loved his approprach to cycling and the products that surround it. Cool bikes, wool jerseys, great philosophy… http://www.rivbike.com/ Definitely check out the site or head over the hill to Walnut Creek.

The attached photograph and web gallery was recenlty photographed while on assignment for Men’s Journal. The goal of the shoot was to photograph mountain bike rider Luke Peterson stream crossing on the latest version of the Cannondale Rush. The photo will be used as the opening spread for the mtb gear review.
After much research and scouting we ended up at the impressive Henry W. Coe St. Park . Thanks to Mike Plimier, local Coe junkie, for all the help and guidance in finding the right location!

I recentlty returned from an amazing photo adventure in South Africa. These travels took us from the Cape of Good Hope to the desert of the Karoo. While in Fish Hoek (near Cape Town) I had the opportuinty to photograph and get to know an amazing family of paddlers, the Mocke’s. Dawid Mocke and brother Jasper (portraits below) are shown in the next few photographs surfing some great breaks on the cold Atlantic waters. See the full gallery here: surfski session
